The Aviary is dedicated to providing a platform for the conversation of architecture and design in Vancouver BC. Through our diverse and creative events, the design community and the public are able to come together to learn, share, and converse on how architecture and design can inform and shape our lives.

We are very excited about the following upcoming events, both of which are new series here at The Aviary.

We're taking the design conversation outside to Robson Park which is just around the corner from our studio. Aviary members Laura Melling, Alyssa Lewis (Studio Block), and Andrea McLean have put together a summer picnic series to bring individuals together over lunch to spark connection within the creative community.

These designers, together with The Aviary, Field & Social, The Juice Truck, and Beta 5 Chocolates, have put together a delicious and highly curated individual picnic bag to take to the park. Each bag will come with salad, lemonade, and a chocolate bar, as well as other surprises.

On the day of the picnic, guests will pick up their individual picnic bags at The Aviary, then follow the triangles to the park where there will be a surprise installation from which to gather, be social, and enjoy lunch. Each participating business will take their turn at one of the picnics to introduce their business, and why design matters to them. This is the perfect way to get outside this summer, and meet other creatives. Oh, and of course it will be very Instagram friendly!

Tickets are available for the August 11th & 25th picnics!
